How we use tags

Tags are how the community stays findable as it grows. A category tells you which space a topic is in; tags tell you what it’s actually about and let you pull together everything on one theme across the whole community. Two topics can share a framework tag while living in different places.

You don’t need to memorise these. When you post in Q&A, the composer prompts you for what’s required. This is just the map.

Frameworks. Pick one when you post in Q&A (required there)

  • iso27001: anything about ISO 27001
  • nis2: anything about NIS2

Every Q&A question needs at least one of these, so it reaches the people who know that framework. Most have one, but a genuinely cross-framework question can carry both. (More may appear over time as the content grows. These two are what’s live now.)

Stage. Add it when it fits (optional)

  • pre-certification: you’re weighing it up, or just getting started and figuring out what it takes
  • certification: you’re in the middle of getting certified

Not every topic has a stage, so this one’s optional. But it’s worth adding. It’s how someone at the same point as you finds the questions that match where they are.

What kind of thing it is (mostly on Start Here)

  • tutorial · how-to · reference · explanation: whether a post walks you through learning something, helps you get a specific task done, is something to look up, or explains the why behind it

A couple of others you’ll see

  • ai-agents: questions about the AI agents specifically
  • getting-started: the orientation topics here in Start Here

In Feedback & Ideas (customers)

  • bug · feature-request · enhancement · question: so we can route what you post to the right place. The composer there walks you through it.

The one rule worth remembering

If you post a question in Q&A, give it a framework tag: iso27001 or nis2. Everything else is optional and the composer will prompt you. That one tag is what turns your question from a message into something the whole community can find later.
